Many people may not be aware of it, but Mac OS X comes with a powerful built-in graphing program. To access this program, click on the “Go” menu in the menu bar and choose “Utilities”. From the list of utilities, choose “Grapher”. The Mac OS X Grapher allows you to create both 2D and 3D graphs and even lets you print or save your graphs. You can save your graphs in a variety of formats such as JPG or PDF. The Mac OS X Grapher is a very useful, yet somewhat overlooked application that is great for students or anyone interested in math.
