Mac OS X comes with a neat program called Stickies. You can access Stickies by going to “Go” in the menu bar and choosing “Applications”. In the applications list, select “Stickies”. Stickies are essentially virtual Post-it notes. You can write reminders for yourself, take notes and a variety of other things. It’s like having a virtual notepad on your computer. You can change the size, color and transparencies of notes and can also choose whether you want the notes to stay on top of the screen no matter what, or if you want to keep them on your desktop. You can do this on an individual note basis, so if you jotted down some information on a note and need to enter it into an application, you may want to bring that note to the front while keeping the rest in the back. You can also have Stickies start up automatically with your computer by right clicking (ctrl clicking) the Stickies icon in the Dock and selecting “Open at Login”.
