I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people accidentally start their PowerPoint presentations in the wrong place. Most people think that the only way to start a slide show is to click “Slide Show” in the menu bar and choose “View Show”. While this is fine for starting a slideshow from the beginning, what if you want to start it from, say, slide five? If you chose “View Show”, PowerPoint would still start the slide show at slide one, even if you have slide five selected.
Thankfully, there is an easy way to get around this. In the bottom left hand corner of the window you should see five buttons. The button on the far right looks like a projector screen, click this button and PowerPoint will start your slideshow on whichever slide is currently selected.
