Whether we like it or not, or desktops usually end up turning into a dumping ground for many of our digital files. As we add more and more files it becomes more and more difficult to find what we’re looking for. Luckily, Mac OS X has a simple solution – Color Labels. While on your desktop, select a file or folder you wish to have labeled, once the file or folder is selected, simply go to the “File” menu, located in the top-left hand corner of the screen and choose a color under the “Color Label:” section. Now your file or folder will have a color label attached to it, allowing you to more easily manage your data.
